Your parent communication, already written
Booking a photo day includes a ready-made communication kit: a parent letter covering how to prepare (clothing, hair, snacks, sibling requests), a printable poster for the centre, and even a photo day children's book to read with the class so kids know what to expect.
You fill in the date, send it out, and photo day runs itself.
For parents: getting ready for picture day
Clothing: choose outfits your child feels happy and comfortable in. Soft colours photograph beautifully. Even a simple white shirt works with our digital backdrops. Layers and soft textures like knits or corduroy add depth; avoid neon, large logos, and busy graphics. For sibling photos, coordinate both outfits in a style you love.
Hair: simple, easy-to-manage styles stay in place all day. A subtle clip or headband is fine; a quick trim to keep hair out of the eyes makes a big difference.
Snacks: neat and easy: crackers, pretzels, apple slices. Skip yogurt, berries, and anything sticky right before picture time.
Smiles: no need to practice, because that leads to stiff "say cheese" grins. The sweetest expressions come naturally; sometimes the in-between giggles make the best pictures of all.
