Casting directors flip through hundreds of faces. Your headshot has seconds to say "this is a real, castable person": natural light-feel, honest retouching, and an expression with something going on behind the eyes.
Book a HeadshotAn actor headshot is not a corporate portrait. It must look exactly like you on your best ordinary day: minimal retouching, true-to-life skin, and framing that meets current casting standards for Vancouver's film and TV market.
We shoot multiple looks in one session, theatrical (dramatic, grounded) and commercial (warm, open), with wardrobe changes, so your agent has options for different submissions.
Stiff posing kills an acting headshot. Sessions run more like a scene: prompts, conversation, and small adjustments that bring out genuine expression instead of a held smile.
"Had a great session with Volkan which resulted in excellent headshots to go with my actor's resume. I was made to feel comfortable and confident and I think it shows in the end result."
3–5 simple wardrobe options in solid colours, layers that suggest different types you're cast for. Avoid logos and busy patterns; the frame belongs to your face.
Very light: temporary blemishes and stray hairs only. Casting expects you to walk into the room looking like the photo; anything more works against you.
Most working actors keep both. We can cover the two looks in a single session with a wardrobe change and different direction.
Yes. If your agent has framing, format, or style requirements, send them ahead and the session is shot to spec, delivered in the exact crops they ask for.
