Directed, not just photographed
The difference between a headshot you tolerate and one you actually use is direction. Chin an inch forward, weight onto the back foot, shoulders dropped, a real breath before the frame: small cues, called out one at a time, while you watch the results on screen between sets.
Nobody's expected to "just be natural" in front of a camera. That part is my job, whether we're working in the studio or at your Tri-Cities office.
Packing for your session
Two or three tops beats one: mix a lighter and a darker option, and something structured, since a blazer or jacket sharpens almost every frame. Solids read cleaner than patterns on camera; skip oversized logos and anything neon.
